It’s not very hard to find steps for make-up application online, what was really of value from Sam Fine’s demonstration on “Eva the Diva” were the little hints that inspired comments such as “Ohhhhhhh, I’ve got to try that” of “Why didn’t I think of that?”
Below you can find some of the makeup tips given by make-up guru; Mr. Sam Fine.
- Start with lighting that shows your beauty. Fluorescent lighting is an absolute no no as lighting should be as natural as possible.
- Apply concealer with the finger tips; it’s generally made of wax and body heat helps with seamless application.
- It’s ok to use more than one shade of foundation; it’s even ok to use different brands of foundation.
- After applying foundation to the face blot the entire face with a sheet of one ply tissue; this removes the oil from the foundation and allows makeup to stay fresh looking longer.
- Before applying eye shadow dust some translucent powder under the eyes to catch any loose flecks of coloured shadows.
- Ahead of applying colour to the cheeks suck the cheeks in and pout, dust transluscent powder into the sunken parts to isolate where to dust the brush/bronze.
- A combination of blush and bronzer works well for adding colour to the cheeks. You get the combination of colour and sheen with one sweep.
- When lining the lower eyelid use a white liner or even a taupe to make the eyes pop, give black liner a little bit of a rest.
- As far as eyebrows are concerned a clear mascara give them shape and allows you to see the spaces that need to be filled in with the eyebrow pencil which, by the way should never be black.
- When doing your lashes apply a light coat, allow it to dry, curl the lashes and then apply a heavy coat.
- Finally by using a lip liner the lips are given definition. However, be sure that the liner does not overpower the tint of colour applied to the lips.
