As the world seeks to leverage the issue of being environmentally aware we have the first mass produced electric car coming to market. The environmentally minded fashion consumer may be its biggest buyer who wants to be both hip and save the environment. In the Caribbean these vehicles may be a while off but we also need them here and the fashionable among us will love to have them.
The Chevrolet Volt is the only electric vehicle that can operate under a range of weather climates and driving conditions with little concern of being stranded by a depleted battery.
Volt has a total driving range of about 340 miles and is powered by electricity at all times. For up to the first 40 miles, the Volt drives gas- and tailpipe-emissions-free using electricity stored in its 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. When the Volt’s battery runs low, a gas powered range-extending engine/generator seamlessly operates to extend the driving range another 300 miles on a full tank. Read the rest of this entry »

Day Two of the Meiling Model Boot Camp was described as a hairy situation with students receiving instruction from renowned hair stylist Anthony Medina. Anthony’s animated presentation style coupled with his immense knowledge and skill made for a workshop extraordinaire!
The info-packed workshop touched on topics ranging from warnings of carcinogenic hair products, hair styling tools, to keeping informed on new trends through magazines and the internet.The lucky students also were given a surprise gift compliments of Morocan Oil which Anthony said is the new miracle hair product!
