There was much hoopla around the Vogue Fashion Night out concept which occurred in many parts of the world as a response to increasing consumption of fashion related items brought about by fall in sales due to the global economic crisis.
In Jamaica such an event was staged also with Jamaica Observer and its lifestyle editor being the brain child behind the concept. Here we have a review of the event by Ocean Splash which took place a few weeks ago. It was described as a smashing success by the creators.
So some of the questions we asked : Is such a concept transportable around the Caribbean region? Any how did the local designers fare sales wise? Those were just a few of the questions that popped to mind.
