This event will showcase the flamboyance of students within the fashion industry (local, regional and international) whose concepts and flair embody the vitality of our culture and customs at the world’s famous Club Zen, located on Keate Street, Port of Spain, on the 2nd of October, 2009.

The event seeks to attract  designers, fashion professionals to the pre-show at Zen which commences at 4:30pm and show time at 12:00 am. Also to the round table discussion scheduled to be held on 1st October, 2009 (today) at the UTT John Donaldson Campus, Wrightson Road, P.O.S. room 317 starting at 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Fashion Evolution Caribbean® is an initiative to align global elements with the creative minds, hands and hearts which will ensure continued growth and development of the fashion industry. It comprises a team of successful young designers which includes Nerkida Jones (Trinidad), Andre Edwards (St. Kitts and Nevis), Minouche Pericles (Haiti), Kameshia Hamilton (Jamaica), Trelcy Ann Wilson (Jamaica), armature male model Ricardo Kermani Williams and event coordinator Nickie Bernard (Trinidad).

“Island Style Invasion”, is an alliance of students who hail from and represent different Caribbean Islands. These islands include St. Kitts and Nevis, Haiti, Jamaica and Trinidad.

The motivation of each student stems from their determination and portraits of their creative aspect through their garment construction. The attributes of the garments showcase the creativity of each designer while the styles and fashion will appeal to the needs of customers. Its constructiveness enhances the details and truly possesses a one of a kind uniqueness of their clothing designs.

Fashion Evolution Caribbean® is an interactive schedule, inclusive of field trips, round table discussions, interviews, rehearsals, presentations, portfolio development and a fashion show, which are the major components of the workshop. It further aims to assist students in gaining improved grades and credits for their Degrees and also serves to educate and motivate interested participants to follow along the productive path.

All members of the fashion industry, local celebrities and public are invited to this fashion event extravaganza which will be held at the Zen Night Club on 2nd October, 2009.
