Kyra, who conceptualized, coordinated and directed the shoot – which has a storyline of ‘poor paperboy meets supermodel’ in a 1920s setting – says:
‘We decided on an erotic theme for one of the issues where little or no clothing would be worn. We agreed to use the talents of James Paul, the airbrush artist, but I wanted the photo to depict fashion and not just abstract body art, so I decided to use looks from the FWTT 2010 runway.’
Model Taromi is ‘wearing’ a black and white patterned tube dress by Brown Sugar and Tabitha is in the paperboy-inspired suit by Emphasis Clothing. Kyra chose to use a female model to portray the male as a way of further pushing the erotic/provocative theme.
