‘Tis the season of parties, cocktails, luncheons and just good old fashioned trini “limes”. This is the one time for the year that you get to be as glamorous as you want to be. Here are some tips to help you get the look that you want for your festive occasion.
THE SULTRY SIREN
Lesley is a no-nonsense entrepreneur and mother of one. Having known Lesley since school days, I decided to amp up the sex appeal and turn this “plain jane” into a sultry siren. Smokey eyes and full plump lips were enough to make any man take a second look and make the other females a little envious.
On an already cleansed face, a bit of concealer was applied to cover up those tell tale dark circles, one of the quickest ways to get a flawless face. A sheer foundation was used to even out her skin tone and make her skin silky smooth. A quick dust of powder and we’re ready to move on to the eyes.
Lesley’s eyes were rimmed with a black liner which and smudged to soften the effect. A slightly silver coloured shadow was applied to Lesley’s entire eye and a midnight blue shadow was blended into her eye crease. A shimmer shadow was lightly brushed across the entire eye to add a bit of sparkle.
A cranberry blush mixed with bronzer caressed her cheeks while a coral coloured matte lipstick was applied to her lips. Just for fun…a few false lashes were popped onto the corner of her eyes to really add impact to her look. Black mascara added the finishing touches to her makeup and with a daringly sexy dress from fashion designer Christian Boucaud, Lesley was ready to be the belle of the ball.
THE PLAYFUL CHIC
When you think of lawyers and legal professionals, you think white curly wigs and stiff black suits. Rennitta’s look is the complete opposite of this ideal. This very feminine look was suited to Rennita’s personality, not profession.
Vivacious eyes and muted lips was the order of the day. Purples, blues, gold and green were all mixed to create this foxy look for Rennitta. To add the extra pizzazz, her eyes were lined with a chocolate brown liner and smoked with a purple shadow to complete her look.
Rennitta’s cheeks and lips were kept soft to guarantee the ‘wow’ factor for her eyes and is ideal for those wanting to show a little creative flair in their makeup.
THE NATURAL BEAUTY
Regina’s beautiful eyes were lined with a chocolate brown eyeliner and a black shadow was used to soften the line. A bronze colour was used on her brow bone while a deep copper brown was applied to her lid and blended together to create a fusion of colour on her eyes.
A warm blush was brushed onto her cheeks, but to add some colour, a berry coloured lipstick was selected and applied to her lips also lined with a plum coloured lip liner. Two coats of mascara and Regina is ready for her evening soirée.
