She began sewing at a tender age, under the watchful eyes and guidance of her mother. She learnt to construct clothing and this has grew into her passion.
Her first debut was at a show called Emerge (2004-2005). From there, it has been an incredible journey for the young designer.
As outlish.com quotes:
“When it comes to her inspirations, Boucaud says she mostly goes with the flow. She is influenced by her family and her experiences, and reflects the best of both in her designs. She does, however, credit her late grandmother with giving her the confidence and drive to continue pursuing her dream. Boucaud also cites fellow local designer Shaun Griffith Perez as a major influence, for the particular attention that he pays to detail.”
The month of October, from an outsider, seems exciting…but with a closer look, is quite busy!
Her lineup (as quoted on her Facebook page) details 5 events, one of which is Fashion Royale. At this event, she meets Jaspher Knowles, a Bahamian Designer.
She will be launching her plus size collection for 2010. Look out for the extension of Recycle Reuse Recreate and the introduction of Survivor!
With her new ventures, Boucaud hopes to keep improving and becoming a better designer. Expectations are high for this designer’s next collection.
